Where I Stand

Standing in the optimal spot to share an epic tale and bring an uplifting vibe, whilst being close enough to keep you feeling calm, is a fine balance. The short answer is to the question ‘where do I stand’ is ‘off to the side’ (see above) but read on to know when, why and how I move around during the ceremony.

To start.

At the beginning of the ceremony you will find me placed slightly to the side, usually close to your best-man or maid-of honour.

If the two of you are slightly turned in towards each other, but also facing outwards towards your guests (like Beck & Isaac here), you will get to see moments of pure connection and emotion as we share your story.

The shift.

You will feel a shift as we move into the marrying moments ….like the legally required wording, the vows and ring exchange.

This is when I move from the side to stand with you, make sure you’re facing each other, hand in hand.

For your vows.

You can share this intimate moment holding the mic yourself, but many of my couples like the idea of me stepping in as the mic-stand, helping you to feel a little more calm, ensuring there is optimal sound and allowing you a free hand to dab any tears or squeeze your lover’s hand.

What it looks like.

Strategically positioned alongside you, so that when you receive your photos it will look like this.

The Experience.

As soon as vows are exchanged, I step off to the side once again. The big moment when I declare you married is your moment to shine and I allow you to fully experience these precious moments together, as a couple, with absolutely no chance of accidental celebrant photo-bombing!
