You’re an introvert planning a wedding

These ideas are for you…..

1.keep your bridal party small or zero

Trust me, smaller equals less stress, less opinions to deal with during the planning journey, and the avoidance of unnecessary chaos on your big day.

2. consider a ‘first look’

Walking down the aisle is way less scary when you’ve already spent some precious moments with your partner.

And if the thought of doing an aisle-walk is something that completely overwhelms you, you can always ditch tradition by walking in together.

Another way to keep things chilled is to mingle with guests beforehand and then casually stroll over to the ceremony spot alongside your loved ones.

3. REMEMBER TO BREATH

If you feel a surge of nerves, it’s amazing what your breath can do.

One big, deep breath signals to your nervous system to bring the calm.

4. emotion is like the ocean

A mix of surging waves coupled with moments of gentle motion. Yes, there are trigger points where your emotion will reach a crescendo. The aisle walk is one, exchanging vows is another. But in between, it’s more gentle on your heart and you will settle in and relax as we reminisce, share a beautiful story, a smile, a laugh.

And yes, like Holly & Chris here, it’s totally okay (and I encourage you) to share a hug after you’ve exchanged vows.

5. Choose the right celebrant

Someone who brings the calm and helps you feel grounded. Yes you are going to feel heart-bursting moments, your heart rate will be elevated, you’ll feel nervous & excited at the same time, but choosing the right celebrant will help you feel grounded. And when you’re relaxed, you’re going to have more fun!
